It’s a slow count down to the Awe Dropping

Based on numerous reports and rumors, Apple's "Awe Dropping" event on September 9th is expected to feature a number of significant product announcements and updates. While Apple is famously secretive, the following are the most anticipated reveals:

iPhone 17 Series

The centerpiece of the event is undoubtedly the new iPhone lineup. A major change is the expected introduction of a new model and a design shift.

 * Four Models: The lineup is rumored to consist of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new ultra-thin model, the iPhone 17 Air. The iPhone 17 Air is widely believed to be replacing the "Plus" model.

 * Performance: All four new iPhones are expected to be powered by the new A19 chip, promising enhanced performance and power efficiency.

 * Camera Upgrades: The camera systems are getting a major overhaul. All models are rumored to receive a new 24-megapixel front-facing camera, doubling the resolution of the previous generation. The Pro models, in particular, may feature a redesigned camera bar and a new 48-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 8x optical zoom on the Pro Max model.

 * Display: A notable upgrade for the entire lineup is the expected inclusion of ProMotion displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro models.

 * Design and Cooling: The event's "Awe Dropping" logo is speculated to hint at new color options and a new vapor chamber cooling system for the Pro models, which would help with thermal management during intensive tasks like gaming.

Other Products

Beyond the new iPhones, Apple is also expected to refresh other parts of its product ecosystem.

 * **Apple Watch Series 11 & Ultra 3: The newest iterations of the Apple Watch are anticipated, with the Series 11 featuring more energy-efficient displays and a new S11 chip. The rugged Apple Watch Ultra 3 may also arrive with satellite connectivity for emergency messaging in areas without cell service.

 * AirPods Pro 3: The long-awaited third generation of the AirPods Pro could be unveiled, potentially including new health-tracking features such as in-ear heart rate monitoring and a redesigned charging case with an interactive touchscreen display.

 * iOS 26: While not a hardware product, the event will also feature a deep dive into iOS 26, the new operating system for the iPhones. It is expected to introduce new AI-powered features and a "Liquid Glass" design language.

While other products like new Macs or iPads are less likely to be announced at this event, the focus will be squarely on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods to kick off the fall product season.
