Apple Tip #1 - Calendar Pinch In - Pinch Out

Going back to my Nestlé days I have always believed that you only have one diary and that is the electronic one! The development of smartphones made this really work well because you effectively had your diary on your person wherever you were in the world.

I only bought my first iPhone in the second year of my retirement around 2011, after a lunch in which Jan my wife and good friend Derek told me to 'stop putting it off and buy yourself an iPhone .... you know you want to'! So yes I am an Apple convert and try to update my phone every two years. 

Roll on to today, and Joan and I as a couple have an Apple shared calendar, which drops it into each of our iPhones. Joan still has to have her Country File Calendar (bless!), which she largely updates from the electronic one. Now imagine the scene after a lovely rather boozy lunch together with friends (in their 70s apart from Jim and I in our 80s eeek). 'When are we next going to meet up' followed by a flurry of paper diaries coming out of handbags (slight exaggeration for effect). Damn it, this is the one area that paper has always beaten me on electronic! But no more, as just by chance I discovered how to get there as fast as the paper brigade!
