What to do if your iPhone is lost or stolen

My partner and I share our iPhone location etc on Find My. This is very important as what do you do if you happen to be walking around a city and your phone gets snatched?

Here's what happens when your iPhone is snatched and your partner uses Find My to mark it as lost and erase the data:

Immediate Effects:

 * Lost Mode: The phone is locked with a passcode. Anyone who finds it can't access your data.

 * Tracking: Find My can pinpoint the phone's location if it's connected to the internet or a cellular network.

 * Data Erasure: All your personal information, including contacts, photos, messages, and app data, is deleted from the phone.

Long-Term Implications:

 * Undetectable: The thief can't use your phone for calls, texts, or accessing your accounts.

 * Activation Lock: Even if the thief tries to restore the phone, they can't use it without your Apple ID and password.

 * Peace of Mind: You know your personal information is safe and can't be misused.

Additional Steps:

 * Report to Police: File a police report with the device's serial number.

 * Contact Carrier: Suspend your phone line to prevent unauthorized use.

 * Change Passwords: Update passwords for accounts accessed on the phone.

 * Insurance Claim: If you have insurance, file a claim for a replacement device.

Remember:

 * Backup: Regularly back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer to avoid data loss.

 * Two-Factor Authentication: Enable two-factor authentication for added security.

 * Find My: Ensure Find My is turned on and location services are enabled.

 * Passcode: Set a strong passcode to protect your device.

By taking these precautions, you can minimise the impact of a stolen iPhone and protect your personal information.

UFO Spotted on my WhatsApp Screen

This morning I woke up to an invasion of my WhatsApp screen, well slight exaggeration it was a floating circle, and as a curious person I had to click on it!
