The Pilot: Digital Skills 4 Seniors

Image
We are now all set to run a pilot of our Digital Skills 4 Seniors Programme. We had a meeting and the two of us (Ian and Ingrid) and we confirmed that we are passionate about helping seniors to find joy in the ever expanding digital world. Plus we as coaches and trainers are brim full of ideas on how we can make the learning fun and meaningful. Right now we are approaching our friends to get a group of 6 to 8 volunteers who would like to improve their digital skills. Then we will all meet up at a pub and Ingrid and I will share our ideas, plus find out what each person would like to get from participating in the programme. Based on this meeting we are anticipating running the pilot group for three months in order to make a real difference to the skill level, but also to get a deeper understanding on what seniors need and how best to get them to learn and retain the skill.  At the end of the three months we will review progress and decide what we want to do next. Let the fun begin!!...

I vaguely knew about downloading an eSIM but had never done it, so I did an AI search to find out which was the best option for South Africa. Airalo looked like a good option, so I went online and bought a South African 30 day 10 GB eSIM for £22. I then downloaded it and activated it on arrival following the clear instructions that were provided. On my iPhone settings I kept my phone l...
